Helsinki Blockchain Week · 8–9 September 2027 · Messukeskus, Helsinki
2025 was the hype of the bull run. 2026 set the rules and the governance. 2027 is the year of infrastructure: the digital rails connecting traditional finance with blockchain networks get built, and the professionals separate from the amateurs. Helsinki Blockchain Week puts banks, asset managers, market infrastructure, investors and policymakers in the room with the people laying those rails. The goal is faster settlement, lower operational cost and greater security.
Early-bird passes from €350 · Core €1,000 · VIP €2,500 · Prices rise after the early-bird window.
Why 2027
Tokenisation platforms already run intraday repo at major banks. Pontes settles in central bank money on DLT. The institutions that connect first settle faster, run leaner and carry less risk.
Programme & speakers
Keynotes, closed-door roundtables and structured meetings with the operators laying the rails, on settlement, collateral, interoperability, MiCA and DORA.
The room
Bank treasuries, asset managers, market infrastructure, supervisors and the investors backing the rails. A room built for decisions, not demos.
The programme
Does it put real infrastructure between traditional finance and blockchain networks, and what does it return in settlement time, cost and security?
Intraday repo, tokenised collateral, digital bonds and tokenised funds are live at major banks. Sessions examine the platforms behind them, the integration work required and the commercial return in settlement speed, balance-sheet efficiency and cost.
Topics include issuance, collateral mobility, asset servicing, interoperability with existing market infrastructure and the route from pilot to production.
Property, private credit, commodities and funds need legal certainty, reliable valuation and settlement infrastructure before they become credible investment products. Discussions address the structures, servicing and liquidity that turn a token into an asset institutions can actually hold.
Topics include the link between a token and its underlying asset, legal structures, due diligence, transparency and routes to institutional participation.
Custody, key management, smart-contract assurance, operational resilience and recovery, and who is accountable when something fails. The programme treats security as the licence to operate the rails, not a feature.
Topics include institutional controls, technology assurance, service provider oversight, incident response and business continuity.
Continuous trading and settlement, stablecoins, tokenised deposits and central bank settlement infrastructure. Sessions examine funding outside market hours, collateral availability and the operating model that round-the-clock finance demands.
Topics include funding outside traditional market hours, collateral availability, central bank settlement infrastructure and connections between traditional and digital markets.
2026 set the rules. 2027 implements them. Sessions examine identity, financial-crime controls, governance, reporting and investor protection designed into infrastructure rather than bolted on afterwards.
Topics include regulatory responsibilities, customer due diligence, monitoring, reporting and the controls required to support institutional participation.
